By Asaf Shamly, founder · Last updated October 15, 2026 · 5 min read

Birdeye and Podium are multi-tool systems with sales-quoted pricing, built for businesses that will log in and run a dashboard. WorkBrag is a single, done-for-you loop that runs by text, made for owner-operators who don't want another login.

What are Birdeye and Podium actually built for?

Birdeye's pricing page asks for your number of locations before it'll show you a number. That's a tell. It's built for multi-location brands, franchises and enterprise groups that want one dashboard across reviews, listings, social and customer experience tools.

Their own site talks about AI agents named Jay, Myna and Robin running marketing, operations and CX across many sites at once. That's a different job than a 4-person roofing crew needs.

Podium leans into AI-driven lead conversion. Its homepage is mostly about an AI employee named Jerry answering calls and booking jobs, with review collection via text folded in as one feature among phones, payments, webchat and automations.

Reviews happen, but they're a module inside a bigger sales and communication system, not the whole point.

How much do they cost, and who runs them day to day?

Neither Birdeye nor Podium lists a flat number on its pricing page. Both ask you to talk to sales or fill out a form with details about your business. That's normal for tools this size, but it means you won't know what you're paying until after a call.

Both also assume someone on staff logs into a dashboard. Podium's pricing page lists an inbox, phones, payments and automations tied to 200+ integrations. Birdeye's homepage describes a unified view across locations and customer interactions. Running either one is a job on its own.

WorkBrag starts at $85 a month. The owner never logs into anything.

After a job wraps, WorkBrag texts the homeowner one link to leave a Google review and, if they'd like, record a short video. Crew job photos attach on their own. The owner approves the finished post by replying to a text. Setup takes a couple of minutes, not a call.

Do any of them handle customer video?

Neither Birdeye's nor Podium's pricing and homepage content mentions customer video as a feature. Both stay focused on reviews, messaging, listings and, in Podium's case, AI-driven lead conversion.

WorkBrag turns a homeowner's short phone video into a branded clip with drafted captions and only ever uses it with the customer's written say-so.

Posting that clip to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok is built and sitting on app review from those platforms right now. Until it's live, the finished post gets texted to the owner to share themselves.

Who should pick each

  • Birdeye: Pick Birdeye if you're running multiple locations or a franchise and want one system covering reviews, listings, social and customer experience, and you're prepared for a sales call to get pricing.
  • Podium: Pick Podium if answering calls, texting leads and converting them with an AI employee matters more to you than reviews, and you want review collection bundled in as one piece of a bigger communication tool.
  • WorkBrag: Pick WorkBrag if you're a 2 to 15 person trade crew who wants review requests and customer video handled by text, without logging into a dashboard or sitting through a sales call.

Frequently asked questions

Do Birdeye or Podium list their prices?

No. Both pricing pages ask you to submit a form or talk to sales rather than showing a flat number. WorkBrag starts from $85 a month, listed directly.

Can Podium or Birdeye record customer videos?

Neither their pricing pages nor their homepages mention customer video as a feature. WorkBrag lets the homeowner record a short video from the same text link used for the review ask.

Does WorkBrag guarantee the review will be positive?

No. WorkBrag asks for a review, it never offers anything in exchange and it can't confirm whether a review was published, only that it was asked for.
